Blog Tour and Review – Collateral Damage by Elisabeth Grace
About COLLATERAL DAMAGE
Hollywood It Girl, Francesca Leon, has just landed the biggest role of her career…one that could clinch an Oscar nomination and open doors. If she’s going to move her career to the next level and work with top directors, she has to nail this part — and keep her sexy, but unreliable leading man from screwing everything up.
Bad boy Calder Fox is the son of Hollywood royalty and fresh out of rehab after his best friend’s death sent him on a downward spiral of drugs and alcohol. While his fans still love him and the paparazzi stalk him, he’s never taken life, or anything about his career, seriously. He may be charming and drop-dead gorgeous, but if he doesn’t stay sober, he could ruin Frankie’s future and expose her long-hidden family secret to the voracious media.
Behind the scenes
Things heat up during filming and have the potential to become hotter, deeper, and much more real. But can Frankie trust Calder with her secret? Or is he doomed to sabotage his own happiness yet again?

Francesca and Calder are both young actors who are at very different places in professionally – Francesca wants to take her career to the next level, while Calder is trying to get his career back on solid ground after a deadly car accident and a stint in rehab. Francesca is none too thrilled when the role that could garner her Oscar recognition is opposite the newly-sober Calder.
I loved this book and these characters. On paper, Calder shouldn’t be likeable…a spoiled Hollywood golden boy turned addict. But he’s so earnest in his struggle to stay sober and his grief and guilt over the accident that caused his friend’s death that there’s just no way not to root for the guy. Frankie seemed hard to me at first, but I think that was just her trying to maintain a sense of self-preservation and keep her eyes on the prize of advancing her career. She is also trying to protect a family secret, so she’s got herself trained not to let people in.
When Frankie and Calder are made to act like a couple in order to generate publicity for the film, their acting skills are put to the test – but do they have to pretend to like each other or pretend not to? Guess you’ll have to read it and find out!!
